*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Odense (Danish: Odense) in the Region of Southern Denmark sits amid small lakes, streams and the Odense Fjord, where water temperatures change markedly with the seasons. In spring, surface temperatures in local lakes typically range from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as the water gradually warms. Summer months usually bring the warmest conditions, commonly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) and on hot spells surface readings can reach around 24 °C (75 °F). In autumn the water cools to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F), while winter temperatures often hover close to freezing, about 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) with occasional ice.
Swimming is generally permitted in and around Odense at designated bathing spots and public beaches, because Danish shoreline access is liberal and local authorities mark and monitor official bathing areas. Municipal bathing water monitoring reports are used to assess safety; some smaller inland lakes can experience algal blooms or temporary pollution that make swimming inadvisable, so swimmers should heed signage and municipal updates. Lifeguards are not always present, and cold-water risks and variable visibility mean people should take normal precautions, choose approved beaches, and avoid entering the water during unmonitored or warned conditions.
