*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Rødovre, a suburban municipality in the Capital Region of Denmark, contains a few small inland water bodies such as Damhussøen and stretches of Harrestrup Å. Water temperatures in these lakes and streams follow typical Danish inland-seasonal patterns: winter water commonly sits around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), spring rises to roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F), summer averages about 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) and can reach 24 °C (75 °F) during warm spells, while autumn cools back to about 8–14 °C (46–57 °F). Shallow areas warm fastest in summer and shallow rivers or inflows may be a few degrees cooler or warmer depending on weather and shading.
Swimming in Rødovre’s lakes and rivers is possible but conditional. Some spots are used informally for bathing, yet official swimming is recommended only where the municipality has designated and monitors bathing water; otherwise water quality concerns such as bacterial contamination, urban runoff and occasional cyanobacterial blooms can make swimming inadvisable. There are usually no lifeguards at informal sites, so people swim at their own risk and should check local advisories and recent water-quality reports before entering.
