*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Hobro (in Danish - Hobro) sits by Mariager Fjord and close to small inland lakes in the North Jutland Region of Denmark. Water temperatures in these lakes follow a clear seasonal pattern: winter surface temperatures commonly range from about 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), spring warms to roughly 5–12 °C (41–54 °F) as ice melts and sunlight increases, and summer typically brings the warmest conditions around 17–22 °C (63–72 °F), occasionally rising to 24 °C (75 °F) in heat spells. During autumn the water cools back down to approximately 8–14 °C (46–57 °F). Local fjord water is typically a bit cooler and more influenced by tides and currents than small, sheltered lakes.
Swimming in and around Hobro is generally allowed: Denmark has a tradition of public access to nature and there are designated bathing areas and marinas where residents and visitors swim. Swimming is recommended at marked bathing sites where water quality is monitored; local authorities may close spots temporarily because of pollution, algal blooms or safety concerns. There are often no lifeguards, so swimmers should exercise caution, check local water-quality notices during late summer for blue‑green algae, and consider temperature and currents before entering the water.
