*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Titarisios (Τιταρήσιος) is a mountain-fed river in Thessaly whose water temperature varies noticeably through the year and along its course. In winter the river is cold, typically around 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), while spring brings warming waters in the range of 8–16 °C (46–61 °F) as snowmelt and runoff increase flow. In summer, shallow pools and slower stretches can warm to roughly 18–24 °C (64–75 °F), though faster, shaded or higher-altitude reaches often remain several degrees cooler. Autumn temperatures generally fall back to about 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). Local factors such as altitude, shading, groundwater inputs and recent rainfall make these figures approximate rather than fixed.
Swimming in the Titarisios is possible in suitable, calm sections and is commonly enjoyed by locals during late spring and summer when temperatures are most comfortable. Whether swimming is permitted at a particular spot depends on land ownership, posted signs and occasional local restrictions related to water quality or safety. Even in permitted areas swimmers should be cautious of strong currents, cold deeper pools, submerged obstacles and variable water quality after heavy rains. Checking local guidance and conditions before entering the river is advisable.
