The Sula River, flowing through central Ukraine and joining the Dnipro, is a medium-sized river with a calm character and many meanders. Its water warms up gradually in spring, staying cool at around 12–16°C until late May. In the peak of summer, temperatures in wider and shallower parts often reach 22–25°C, making it comfortable for swimming. Since the river is not too fast, the water tends to hold warmth well during hot periods.
Swimming in the Sula is generally pleasant, especially in sandy or gently sloping areas along the banks. In some stretches, the river is wide and deep enough for proper swimming, while in others it is more suitable for wading or cooling off.
