*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Psel River is one of the most picturesque rivers in Left-Bank Ukraine, flowing through the Sumy and Poltava regions. It is known for its relatively clean water, partly due to being fed by springs. Given its location and typical characteristics of a lowland river, the water in the Psel warms up well during the warm season. In the summer months, especially in July and August, the water temperature usually fluctuates within a comfortable range of +20 to +24∘C, creating excellent conditions for swimming. Although it may be cooler at the beginning of summer or after rainfall, the Psel is one of the rivers where the swimming season tends to last longer.
The opportunities for swimming in the Psel River are very broad. It flows through many towns and villages where municipal beaches and recreation areas are set up. Spots around recreation centers and sanatoriums (for example, near Velyka Bahachka or Kremenchuk) are particularly popular, as they often feature their own well-maintained beaches. Furthermore, the Psel is famous as an ideal location for green tourism and kayaking trips. Multi-day routes pass through meadows and pine forests, offering a unique chance to combine active water recreation with swimming in the clean, warm river water.
Thus, the Psel River is a true gem for water recreation in Ukraine. Its comfortable summer water temperature and developed recreational infrastructure, which includes both equipped beaches and opportunities for eco-tourism and paddling, make it one of the most attractive rivers for summer leisure.
