*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Peiros (Πείρος) is a medium-sized river in Achaea, Peloponnese, whose water temperatures vary with season and location along its course. In winter the river typically cools to about 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), while spring sees a rise to roughly 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) as snowmelt and rainfall moderate. Summer temperatures in shallow, sun-exposed lower reaches can reach about 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), though shaded pools and spring-fed sections remain several degrees cooler. In autumn the river commonly ranges from 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) as air temperatures fall and flows increase. Short-term fluctuations occur after storms, when colder, turbid water can lower temperatures noticeably.
Swimming in the Peiros is possible in many accessible stretches, especially in calm lower reaches and wider pools, but it is not uniformly regulated as a formal bathing area. Whether it is advisable depends on local conditions: adequate depth, gentle current, clear water quality and absence of submerged hazards make swimming acceptable, while strong currents, sudden flow changes after rain, agricultural runoff or private/ protected land can render sections unsafe or off-limits. Visitors should heed local signage, ask residents, and exercise caution regarding current, depth and water clarity before entering.
