*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Jihlava River stretches across the Vysočina region and flows southward into South Moravia, changing its character as it travels. In its upper reaches near Jihlava city, the water is typically cooler, often between 15–20 °C in summer, as the flow is quick and the river is fed by streams from higher elevations. Further downstream, especially as the river broadens and slows, the water can warm more easily, sometimes reaching 22–24 °C on hot days. Seasonal fluctuations are quite noticeable, with rapid drops after rainfall or cold spells.
Swimming opportunities depend heavily on the section of the river. In towns and narrower stretches, the current and rocky bed make it less practical for bathing, though people still use calm spots to wade or cool down. The lower parts of the river, where it widens and feeds into reservoirs such as Dalešice or Mohelno, offer much better conditions. There, the water is deeper, calmer, and warmer, making these areas popular for summer swimming, water sports, and relaxation along the banks.
