In Jihlava, the river of the same name runs right through the town, but at this point it is still relatively narrow and shallow. The water tends to stay cool even in midsummer, usually ranging between 16–20 °C, with only the warmest days pushing it slightly higher. Because of the surrounding highlands and the river’s lively flow, the temperature drops quickly after rain or colder nights, which makes swimming here more refreshing than relaxing.
As for bathing possibilities, the Jihlava within the town is not a typical swimming destination. The riverbanks are mostly urbanized, and the stream can be swift and uneven in depth. Locals may occasionally wade or cool off in calmer spots, but it is not well-suited for longer swims.
