*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Svratka River begins in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, which gives its upper course a distinctly cool character. In these headwater areas, the water often stays between 15–19 °C in summer, influenced by forested surroundings and a steady flow. As the river moves southward and widens, particularly toward Brno, it can reach slightly higher temperatures, sometimes up to 22–24 °C during hot spells, though cooler periods quickly bring the temperature down again.
Swimming in the Svratka depends strongly on location. In the upper stretches, the river is narrow, lively, and stony, which makes it better for wading or refreshing dips rather than long swims. Further downstream, calmer and wider sections provide more comfortable conditions, with some areas naturally used by locals for bathing. The most popular swimming opportunities are found where the Svratka feeds into reservoirs, such as Brno Dam, where the water is deeper, warmer, and well-suited for both casual swimmers and water sports enthusiasts.
