*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Želivka River is a medium-sized river in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic, flowing through a largely rural and forested landscape. The river is known for its clear waters, but it is relatively cool due to its location in a temperate climate and its passage through shaded areas and upstream reservoirs. During the peak summer months of July and August, water temperatures in accessible parts of the river generally reach around 18–20 °C, which is suitable for short swims or wading but may feel refreshing rather than warm.
Swimming in the Želivka River is usually informal, as there are few developed bathing areas or beaches along its course. People often choose quiet stretches away from roads or dams for a dip, and the shallow, slow-moving sections are the safest for children or less experienced swimmers. Canoeing, kayaking, and riverside picnics are also common activities, making the river a versatile spot for summer recreation.
Outside the height of summer, water temperatures drop significantly. In May or September, the river typically stays around 13–15 °C, which is generally too cool for long swims but still allows brief wading or splashing along the edges. Despite the cooler water, the Želivka River remains attractive for nature lovers, offering peaceful riverside trails, fishing opportunities, and the calm beauty of the Czech countryside.
