*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Chomutovka River is a relatively small watercourse flowing through the Ore Mountains and the town of Chomutov before eventually joining the Ohře. Because of its modest size and shallow profile, the river reacts quickly to seasonal weather. In summer, the water can warm into the upper teens or low 20s °C on sunny days, but it also cools down fast during cloudy or rainy periods. This makes its temperature less stable than that of larger rivers or nearby lakes.
As for swimming, the Chomutovka is not typically used for bathing. Its narrow channel, variable depth, and occasional water quality issues limit its suitability for recreational swimming. Instead, people living near the river tend to visit nearby reservoirs or natural lakes where conditions are safer and more comfortable. The Chomutovka contributes more as a scenic element and a natural feature in the town than as a place for regular swimming.
