The Ohře River runs across much of western Bohemia, carrying water from the mountains down through valleys and towns. Because of this mix of sources, the river generally stays on the cooler side. In late spring the temperature is often around 15–17 °C, and by midsummer it usually rises to 19–22 °C, with warmer stretches of weather sometimes pushing it just a little higher. Even on hot days, though, the Ohře rarely feels overly warm, keeping its character as a refreshing river.
