The Ploučnice River flows through northern Bohemia, meandering past towns and forests, creating a scenic and peaceful environment. Because much of its water comes from upland streams and small tributaries, the river tends to stay cool even during the summer months. In late spring, water temperatures usually range around 15–17 °C, while in July and August they can reach 18–20 °C on warmer days.
