*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Rolava River flows through the Ore Mountains and the Karlovy Vary region, which gives it a typically cool character. Since much of its water comes from forested and higher-altitude areas, the temperature stays relatively low even in midsummer. In June the river usually measures around 14–16 °C, and in July and August it may climb to 18–20 °C on the warmest days. After colder nights or rain, the water quickly cools again, so it remains more refreshing than most ponds or reservoirs in the region.
Swimming in the Rolava is possible, though it is generally more appealing to those who enjoy colder, natural waters. The banks in some stretches are accessible enough for wading or quick dips, but it is not a river that offers large beach areas. Instead, it provides a more rustic experience, where a short swim on a hot day feels invigorating. For people looking for a natural and less crowded alternative, the Rolava offers a cool and refreshing option, though it is best suited to stronger swimmers who don’t mind colder water.
