Water Temperature: Daily Trends, Historical Records, and Forecast
❌ As of today, the minimum water temperature ranges from 47°F (8°C) to 50°F (10°C). This is still cool water, suitable only for experienced swimmers or those accustomed to cold water. Swimming in such conditions is possible, but not recommended for prolonged periods. Extra caution should be taken during extended exposure, as the cold water can cause heat loss and lead to hypothermia. For added comfort, special clothing can be used. It is important to note that these swimming tips and recommendations apply only in good weather. When the air temperature is below 68°F (20°C), and sometimes even below 77°F (25°C), swimming can be unpleasant even with relatively high water temperatures.

*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Brenta River in Veneto is a mountain-fed watercourse whose temperature varies widely depending on altitude, season and local conditions. In winter the river can drop to roughly 1–6 °C (34–43 °F) in many stretches, while spring sees a rise to about 6–15 °C (43–59 °F) as snowmelt increases flow. By midsummer lowland sections and slower meanders warm to approximately 16–24 °C (61–75 °F), with the warmest readings typically in late July and August. In autumn temperatures generally fall back to around 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as air temperatures cool and rainfall alters flow and clarity.
Swimming in the Brenta is possible in calmer, shallow stretches and at designated bathing areas, but it is not uniformly permitted or always safe. Some navigable channels, areas near weirs, hydroelectric intakes and bridges are off-limits because of strong currents, submerged hazards and boat traffic. Water quality can also vary after heavy rains, so local municipalities post rules and advisories; following signs and choosing official bathing spots reduces risk. Overall the river’s cool, spring-fed character makes it refreshing in summer but potentially hazardous when flow is high or temperatures are low.
