Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Simferopol Reservoir is the largest artificial lake in the Crimean mountains, created to supply water to Simferopol and the surrounding areas. Because of its size and depth, the water warms more slowly than in small lakes or rivers. In spring, the temperature usually remains cool, around 10-14°C, but during the summer months it can rise to 20-24°C, depending on the weather. By July and August, the surface layer of the reservoir is generally warm enough for comfortable swimming, though deeper waters stay noticeably colder.
Swimming in the Simferopol Reservoir is not officially organized, as the lake primarily serves as a source of drinking water. Still, on hot days, some locals visit its shores for bathing, sunbathing, or simply relaxing by the water. The surroundings are picturesque, with gentle hills and open landscapes, which adds to its recreational appeal. However, because of its primary function, swimming is better done with caution, avoiding restricted areas and deep zones near the dam.
