*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Ayanske Reservoir, located in the Crimean mountains, is a relatively small artificial lake surrounded by forested hills. Its water comes mostly from mountain streams, which keeps the temperature cooler compared to lowland lakes. In spring and early summer the reservoir is quite chilly, often staying in the range of 12-16°C. During hot summer months, especially in July and August, the surface layer of the water can warm up to around 20-23°C, making it more comfortable for bathing, though it rarely gets as warm as natural steppe lakes.
Swimming in the Ayanske Reservoir is not officially developed as a recreational activity, since the water body is primarily used for supplying water to nearby areas. However, locals and visitors sometimes swim there in summer, choosing calm, accessible spots along the banks. The setting is very picturesque, and for those seeking a refreshing dip in clear mountain water, it offers a unique experience. Still, caution is advised, as the depth increases quickly in some places, and organized beaches or safety measures are not present.
