Lake Shipp’s surface water temperatures follow the patterns typical of central Florida lakes, warming markedly in spring and summer and cooling modestly in winter. During the coldest months, surface readings commonly fall into the low 60s to upper 60s Fahrenheit (about 15–20 °C).
