** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Haraldsted Sø (also sometimes referred to locally as Lake Langesø) is a modest-sized lake in Region Zealand, Denmark. Water temperatures vary seasonally: in spring (March–May) the surface commonly warms from about 4–10 °C (39–50 °F) as snowmelt and cool air still influence the lake. During summer (June–August) typical surface temperatures are often 16–22 °C (61–72 °F), and in warm, calm years brief peaks to around 24 °C (75 °F) can occur. In autumn (September–November) the lake cools again to roughly 8–14 °C (46–57 °F), while winter temperatures frequently sit near 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and may lead to partial icing in cold spells.
Swimming at Haraldsted Sø is generally allowed and the lake is used for recreational bathing by locals during the warmer months. Public access and established bathing spots make it a common summer activity, and municipal authorities typically monitor water quality and post warnings if bacterial counts or blue‑green algae make swimming inadvisable. Visitors should pay attention to signage, be aware that there are not always lifeguards, and consider cold‑water risks early and late in the season; otherwise the lake offers standard open‑water swimming opportunities typical for Danish inland waters.
