*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Fogliano (Lago di Fogliano) is a shallow coastal lagoon in Lazio whose surface water temperatures follow a typical Mediterranean seasonal pattern. In winter months temperatures commonly range from about 8 to 14 °C (46 to 57 °F), rising in spring to roughly 12 to 18 °C (54 to 64 °F). By summer the lagoon can warm to approximately 20 to 26 °C (68 to 79 °F), with occasional warmer spells reaching the upper 20s °C (around 80–82 °F). Autumn sees a gradual cooling back toward 16 to 22 °C (61 to 72 °F). Because the lagoon is shallow and connected to both freshwater inputs and the nearby sea, temperatures can vary locally and respond quickly to air temperature and wind conditions.
Swimming opportunities at Lago di Fogliano are limited and context-dependent. While the warmest months can make the water physically comfortable for bathing, sections of the lagoon lie within protected natural areas and have reed beds, marshy shallows and variable water quality, so public authorities sometimes restrict or discourage swimming to protect wildlife and for safety reasons. Visitors intending to swim should check local signage or regulations and prefer designated coastal beaches nearby where bathing is explicitly permitted and monitored.
