*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Lake Constance (Bodensee), shared by Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, is one of Europe's largest freshwater lakes and a popular destination for recreation. The water temperature varies significantly throughout the year. In summer, the lake warms to 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), providing ideal conditions for swimming and other water activities. In spring and autumn, the temperature is cooler, generally ranging from 10°C to 18°C (50°F to 64°F). During winter, the water temperature drops further, often falling below 6°C (43°F).
Swimming in Lake Constance is a cherished activity, especially during summer. Numerous beaches and designated swimming areas, such as those in Rorschach, Romanshorn, and Arbon on the Swiss side, offer safe and scenic spots for taking a dip. The water quality of the lake is excellent, frequently tested and suitable for recreational activities. Swimmers should remain cautious of weather changes and currents, especially when venturing far from the shore. Besides swimming, the lake also offers opportunities for sailing, paddleboarding, and other water sports.
