** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago del Becco, a small mountain lake in Lombardy, typically has cool water year-round, with temperatures that vary by season, elevation, depth and recent weather. In spring the surface often warms from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as snowmelt feeds the basin. Summer brings the warmest conditions, with surface readings commonly in the 12–22 °C (54–72 °F) range on sunnier, calmer days; deeper or shaded sections remain cooler. In autumn waters cool again, commonly falling to roughly 6–14 °C (43–57 °F). In winter the lake can approach freezing, with temperatures near 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and occasional partial ice cover in colder years.
Swimming at Lago del Becco is generally possible in the warmer months, primarily because summer surface temperatures can be comfortable for short recreational dips. However, many factors influence whether swimming is advisable or permitted: alpine lakes can be deceptively cold below the surface, sudden weather changes and limited lifeguard or rescue services increase risk, and local rules or conservation measures sometimes restrict access. Visitors should look for on-site signage, respect any restrictions, and be prepared for cold-water shock and limited facilities; wearing a wetsuit and not swimming alone are sensible precautions if choosing to enter the water.
