❌ As of today, the minimum water temperature ranges from 41°F (5°C) to 47°F (8°C). This water temperature is still quite low, and swimming in such conditions may only be comfortable for hardened individuals. It is recommended to limit the time spent in the water to avoid hypothermia. For those not accustomed to cold water, it is better to refrain from swimming. However, if you decide to enter the water, it is advisable to wear a warm wetsuit for protection against the cold. It is important to note that these swimming tips and recommendations apply only in good weather. When the air temperature is below 68°F (20°C), and sometimes even below 77°F (25°C), swimming can be unpleasant even with relatively high water temperatures.

** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago di Annone is a relatively shallow lake in Lombardy, which means its water temperature changes noticeably with the seasons. In winter the surface temperature typically falls to around 3–6 °C (37–43 °F), while spring sees a gradual rise to roughly 7–15 °C (45–59 °F). During summer months the shallow basins can warm to about 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), occasionally reaching the upper 20s °C in heat waves, and in autumn the water cools again to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). Because of its modest depth and sheltered position, the lake can warm faster than deeper alpine lakes, but it also cools quickly after cold fronts.
Swimming at Lago di Annone is generally allowed in accessible areas and attracts locals in the warmer months, but opportunities vary by spot and time of year. There are no extensive supervised beaches across the whole shoreline, and water quality can be uneven due to nutrient loading and occasional algal growth in the shallower parts; for that reason local authorities may issue advisories or temporary restrictions. Swimmers should therefore use designated access points where present, respect reed-lined and protected zones, and check recent local water-quality notices before entering, especially after prolonged warm weather when blooms are more likely.
