Agia Lake (Greek: Λίμνης Αγιάς) on Crete is a small freshwater/lagoon-like body whose water temperature follows the island’s Mediterranean rhythms. In winter the surface typically cools to roughly 10–14 °C (50–57 °F), in spring it warms to about 12–20 °C (54–68 °F) as inflows increase, and by summer the shallow waters often reach comfortable levels around 22–27 °C (72–81 °F). Early autumn temperatures commonly sit between about 18–23 °C (64–73 °F) before cooling again. Because it is relatively shallow and influenced by local weather, daily and short-term variations can be noticeable; overnight cooling or warm spells will change readings by a few degrees.
