Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The town of Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region lies in a warm steppe zone, surrounded by small rivers and ponds that create pleasant spots for summer recreation. The main local waterway is the Tokmak River, which is relatively shallow and slow-moving. Thanks to the dry and sunny climate of southern Ukraine, the water warms up quickly in late spring — by the end of May, temperatures usually reach around 20–22°C, and in July and August they often rise to 25–27°C. The summer heat keeps the water warm even in the evenings, making swimming comfortable throughout the season until mid or even late September.
Swimming in the waters around Tokmak is easy and enjoyable, especially in the calmer sections of the river and in nearby ponds or small reservoirs. The banks are mostly gentle, with sandy or clay bottoms, and the current is light, which allows for safe bathing. These water bodies are popular among locals for cooling off during hot weather, fishing, and relaxing by the water. The combination of warm temperatures, peaceful nature, and open steppe landscapes makes summer swimming in Tokmak feel tranquil and restorative.
