The city of Bohuslav, picturesquely situated on the granite banks of the Ros River, is a popular summer destination in the Kyiv Oblast. The Ros River in this area is not overly wide but has plenty of spots suitable for swimming. The water temperature in the river, like in other water bodies of the region, depends on the season. In summer, especially during hot months like July and August, the water in the Ros warms up well, reaching comfortable swimming temperatures of +21 to +23. The swimming season usually begins in early June when the water temperature consistently stays above +18∘C.
The swimming opportunities in Bohuslav are quite good, thanks to the unique landscape. The city has several popular spots for recreation by the water, including the central beach known as Yama (The Pit). The granite outcrops and scenic banks create many cozy corners for relaxation.
