*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Eskişehir (in Turkish - Eskişehir) is an inland city in northwestern Central Anatolia with waterways dominated by the Porsuk River and several reservoirs and dams in the province. Water temperatures in these freshwater bodies reflect the continental climate: in winter surface temperatures commonly fall to about 0–5 °C (32–41 °F), making swimming uncomfortable and potentially hazardous. Spring and autumn see gradual warming with typical ranges around 8–16 °C (46–61 °F), while summer months bring the warmest conditions, often 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) in sheltered reservoirs and slower river stretches. Shallow bays and quieter reservoir edges warm more rapidly than flowing sections of the Porsuk.
Swimming opportunities depend on location and local regulations. Urban stretches of the Porsuk River are generally not recommended for swimming because water quality, boat traffic and variable currents pose safety and health concerns; authorities often discourage entering the river for these reasons. In contrast, some reservoirs and designated recreational areas in the province may permit bathing during summer when temperatures are higher and conditions are monitored, though facilities and lifeguards are not always present. Visitors should check local rules, water quality advisories and seasonal conditions before swimming.
