*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
El Prat de Llobregat (Spanish: El Prat de Llobregat) lies in the low-lying Llobregat delta near Barcelona and is characterized by small lakes and wetlands rather than a single large recreational lake. Water temperatures in these lagoonal bodies vary seasonally: in winter they typically sit around 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), in spring they warm to about 12–18 °C (54–64 °F), in summer they can reach roughly 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), and in autumn they generally fall to 15–20 °C (59–68 °F). Shallow depths, tidal exchange and weather conditions mean temperatures can change quickly from day to day and from one part of the delta to another.
Swimming in the lakes and wetlands around El Prat is generally not permitted or is actively discouraged. Much of the delta is protected as important habitat for birds and other wildlife, and access to sensitive areas is restricted to prevent disturbance. In addition, water quality and bottom conditions in the lagoons can be variable, with mud, aquatic vegetation and occasional pollution risks that make unsupervised bathing unsafe. For recreational swimming, locals and visitors usually use supervised Mediterranean beaches and municipal pools that meet safety and hygiene standards; the wetlands are best enjoyed for walking, birdwatching and nature study rather than for swimming.
