❌ As of today, the minimum water temperature ranges from 41°F (5°C) to 47°F (8°C). This water temperature is still quite low, and swimming in such conditions may only be comfortable for hardened individuals. It is recommended to limit the time spent in the water to avoid hypothermia. For those not accustomed to cold water, it is better to refrain from swimming. However, if you decide to enter the water, it is advisable to wear a warm wetsuit for protection against the cold. It is important to note that these swimming tips and recommendations apply only in good weather. *** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Hässleholm (in Swedish: Hässleholm) lies in the interior of Skåne County and is characterised by several lakes and small rivers, the most notable being Finjasjön and stretches of Helge å and nearby inland waters. Seasonal surface temperatures in these freshwater bodies vary considerably: in winter waters are often around freezing, roughly 0°C (32°F) and can be slightly below when ice forms. Spring sees a gradual rise to approximately 2–10°C (36–50°F). In summer typical lake surface temperatures range from about 16–22°C (61–72°F), with shallow bays occasionally reaching 24–26°C (75–79°F) during warm spells; rivers tend to remain a few degrees cooler, commonly 12–18°C (54–64°F) in summer. Autumn cooling generally brings waters down to around 8–14°C (46–57°F) before winter freeze.
Swimming in Hässleholm’s lakes and rivers is generally permitted under Sweden’s public right of access (allemansrätten), and there are designated bathing spots and municipal beaches where people swim in summer. Local authorities monitor water quality and publish advisories, so swimming is advised at official bathing sites where conditions are checked; caution is recommended after heavy rain due to runoff or occasional algal blooms. Rivers can have stronger currents and cooler temperatures, and winter ice-swimming should only be done in organised, supervised settings when ice safety has been confirmed.
