Římov is a small town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, located near the Vodní nádrž Římov reservoir. This reservoir serves mainly as a water supply and flood control facility, which means that swimming is limited and regulated in many areas. During the summer months of July and August, water temperatures near Římov can reach around 20–22 °C in accessible spots, providing conditions that are comfortable for swimming where it is allowed. The calm waters near the town make brief dips or wading enjoyable, especially in designated or less regulated areas.
Swimming at Římov is mostly informal and usually takes place in quieter parts of the reservoir, away from boating lanes and water management zones.
