Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Třeboň is a historic town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, well known for its extensive network of fishponds and the meandering Lužnice River that flows near the town. In the section of the river close to Třeboň, the water is generally calm and shallow in many areas, making it suitable for informal swimming and wading. During the peak summer months of July and August, water temperatures typically reach around 20–22 °C, providing comfortable conditions for a refreshing dip, especially on warm days.
Swimming in Třeboň along the Lužnice River is mostly informal, as the town does not have large public beaches or developed swimming areas on the river. Locals and visitors often choose quiet, shallow spots along the riverbanks for brief swims or wading. The calm flow of the river and its natural surroundings make it relatively safe for families and casual swimmers, while other recreational activities such as canoeing, kayaking, or riverside picnics are popular as well.
Outside the peak summer season, water temperatures drop noticeably. In May or September, the Lužnice near Třeboň generally stays around 14–16 °C, which is too cool for extended swimming but still allows brief wading or cooling off along the shoreline.
