*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Siverskyi Donets is one of the major rivers of eastern Ukraine, flowing through Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk oblasts before entering Russia. It is known for its broad valley, clean sandy banks, and relatively slow current, which make it one of the most popular rivers in the region for swimming and recreation. In summer, the water temperature typically ranges from 22–27°C, and during prolonged heat can reach up to 28°C or slightly more. The river’s gentle flow and wide, sunlit stretches allow the water to warm up quickly, providing ideal conditions for bathing and boating.
Throughout its course, especially near cities like Izium, Sloviansk, and Sviatohirsk, there are many natural beaches and recreation zones where locals and tourists come to swim, relax, or camp along the riverbanks. The water in most parts of the Siverskyi Donets is clear and refreshing, and the surrounding pine forests add to the pleasant microclimate. It’s one of the few large rivers in Ukraine where you can enjoy both comfortable swimming temperatures and beautiful natural scenery.
