*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Oskil River, which flows mainly through the Kharkiv and Donetsk Oblasts, is a large flatland river fed by both groundwater and surface runoff. Due to its location in a moderate continental climate zone, the water temperature in the Oskil during the summer season becomes quite suitable for swimming. In July and August, particularly in shallow and slower-moving sections, the water can warm up to a comfortable 22−25∘C. Even in areas where the river has a moderate current, solar heat contributes to quickly reaching optimal temperatures, making the Oskil a popular destination for recreation.
The swimming opportunities on the Oskil River are traditionally considered some of the best in the region. Along its banks, especially in the areas of the former Oskil Reservoir and its floodplains, there are many sandy beaches and convenient spots for water entry. The river is ideally suited for family recreation, swimming, and water sports due to its width and relatively shallow sections. Although official infrastructure may vary, numerous wild beaches and recreation centers offer clean water and a pleasant cool-down throughout the summer.
