The Kazennyi Torets River flows through the northern and central parts of Donetsk Oblast, eventually joining the Siverskyi Donets. It is a relatively small and calm river with a slow current and moderate depth, which allows the water to warm up quickly in the summer months. Typically, between June and early September, the water temperature ranges from 22–26°C, sometimes reaching 27°C or slightly higher during heatwaves. Because of its gentle flow and accessible banks, many stretches of the river are suitable for light swimming and local recreation.
Along its course through towns like Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk, the Kazennyi Torets is often used by residents for fishing, bathing, and relaxing by the water. The most comfortable and cleaner areas for swimming are usually found outside urban centers, where the river flows through green and open landscapes.
