** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Köprüçay, flowing through the Köprülü Kanyon area of Antalya, is fed by mountain springs and therefore tends to be cooler than coastal Mediterranean waters. Seasonal surface temperatures are approximate and vary by year and location along the river: winter values often range from about 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), spring from roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) as snowmelt and rains raise flow, summer highs commonly reach 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) in calmer, sun-exposed sections, and autumn usually falls between 14–20 °C (57–68 °F). Local conditions such as depth, shading by canyon walls, and recent precipitation can shift these figures noticeably.
Swimming in Köprüçay is commonly practiced but depends on spot and season. Many visitors swim in quieter pools and during summer when surface temperatures are warmest, and commercial rafting trips often include supervised swim stops. However, strong currents, sudden level changes from upstream runoff, and relatively cool water—even in summer—mean swimming carries risks; life jackets and caution are advised. In higher-flow periods such as spring, swimming is generally less safe and discouraged. Access within protected canyon areas may be regulated, so following local guidance and safety measures is important.
