*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Hnylopyat River, flowing through the Zhytomyr region of central Ukraine, is a small and calm tributary of the Teteriv. It runs through open fields, meadows, and forested valleys, creating pleasant natural spots for rest and swimming. Because of its moderate depth and slow current, the river warms up quickly once the weather turns warm. By late May, the water temperature usually reaches 18–20°C, and in July and August it often rises to 23–25°C. In shallow sections near villages, the water can become even warmer, while shaded areas under trees stay cooler. By autumn, the river gradually cools down, dropping below 15°C by late September.
Swimming in the Hnylopyat is enjoyable for those who appreciate quiet and natural places. The water is usually clean and soft, with sandy or muddy banks and a gentle flow that makes bathing safe and relaxing. Locals often swim or wade in the river during hot days, using it as a natural retreat from the summer heat. The absence of strong currents and the peaceful rural landscape make the Hnylopyat ideal for calm swimming, picnicking, and spending time in nature.
