*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Guadalope (Spanish: Río Guadalope) shows noticeable seasonal variation in water temperature because it runs through a semi-continental Mediterranean climate and passes reservoirs and narrow gorges. In winter the river commonly cools to roughly 4–8 °C (39–46 °F) in its faster, shaded stretches and slightly warmer in stiller pools. Spring temperatures usually rise to about 8–14 °C (46–57 °F) as snowmelt and rains feed stronger flows. In summer the warmest shallow sections and embaymented areas can reach 18–26 °C (64–79 °F), while deeper riffles remain cooler. Autumn values typically fall between 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) as inputs decline and air temperatures drop. Local factors such as altitude, flow rate, shading and reservoir releases make these ranges approximate rather than exact.
Swimming in the Guadalope is possible in many stretches and in designated reservoir beaches, and is often practiced in summer when temperatures are most comfortable; however access and legality depend on local municipal rules, protected-area restrictions and safety considerations. Some reaches are unsafe because of strong currents, rapid level changes below dams, or poor water quality after heavy rains or agricultural runoff. Where swimming is permitted, visitors are advised to heed signage and seasonal advisories; authorities sometimes restrict bathing to protect ecosystems or for public safety.
