*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Río Guadalmellato, a tributary in Andalusia (province of Córdoba), shows marked seasonal variability in water temperature influenced by flow, depth and reservoir releases. In winter the river commonly registers around 8–14 °C (46–57 °F), spring temperatures rise to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F), and by summer calmer stretches and shallow areas can warm to about 18–26 °C (64–79 °F); autumn generally cools back toward spring values. These are approximate ranges: colder readings occur near dam outlets and in shaded, deeper pools, while shallow, slow-moving sections heat more quickly on sunny days.
Swimming in the Guadalmellato is possible in many accessible, calm sections and becomes popular in summer, but it is not universally permitted. Some reservoir areas and zones close to infrastructure or water intakes are subject to restrictions for safety and to protect water quality for human consumption and irrigation; strong currents, sudden depth changes, underwater obstacles and seasonal algal growth can also make swimming unsafe in places. Local regulations, posted signs and municipal advisories should be checked before entering the water, and swimmers should favor designated or commonly used spots where conditions and permissions are clear.
