** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Bazavluk is a right tributary of the Dnipro in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with a relatively modest width (around 8-10 m in many stretches) and shallow depth (often up to 1.5 m) in normal conditions. In summer, on warm sunny days, its water in the smaller, calmer stretches can warm up to perhaps 20–22 °C or more, especially near slower bends or pools. However, because of its flow, shading from banks or vegetation, and mixing, many parts remain cooler, sometimes 18 °C or less. Recent observations in certain locations show water temperatures around 15 °C in some segments, especially in spring or in cooler periods.
Regarding swimming, Bazavluk is not among the classic recreational rivers with well-maintained beaches. In favorable spots—pools, calm bends, or reservoirs built on its course—people may swim, but with caution. Risks include variable current, uneven riverbed (mud, rocks, sudden drop-offs), aquatic plants, and possible issues with water quality. Some lowland sections include a reservoir near the village of Sholohovo, which locals sometimes use as a water recreation area. In short, swimming is possible in certain stretches, especially in warmer months, but it's more informal and demands careful local judgment.
