Vodní nádrž Skalka is a reservoir near Cheb in western Bohemia, close to the German border. Because of its size and the flow of the Ohře River, the water here is not as warm as in smaller ponds, but during summer it still reaches pleasant levels. In June the temperature usually stays around 18–20 °C, while in July and August it often rises to 22–24 °C, with the warmest days occasionally touching 25 °C.
