Velyke Lake, located near the village of Novouhruzke (in the former Lyuboml district), is a significant body of water with a maximum depth of up to 18 meters and an average depth of about 15 meters. This hydrological profile suggests that, similar to Svitiaz, the water temperature here is quite variable. In the summer months, the surface layer, especially in the shallow areas near the shore, warms up well to a comfortable +20 to +23∘C for swimming. However, due to the substantial average depth, the overall water mass remains cooler, providing a noticeable freshness even on the hottest days.
