*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Östra Ringsjön in Skåne County, Sweden (Swedish: Östra Ringsjön) is a lowland lake whose water temperature follows the typical seasonal pattern of southern Swedish lakes. In spring the water is cold, commonly around 2–12 °C (36–54 °F) as ice melts and the lake mixes. In summer surface temperatures often rise to roughly 17–22 °C (63–72 °F), though shallow bays can warm more on sunny days and deeper layers remain noticeably cooler. During autumn the lake cools to about 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as the surface loses heat and mixing resumes. Winter temperatures are close to freezing, typically 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), and parts of the lake may ice over in cold years.
Swimming and other recreational water use are generally permitted at Östra Ringsjön, with informal and designated access points used by locals. Whether it is advisable to swim depends on conditions: summer temperatures often make bathing comfortable, but water quality can vary and authorities may issue warnings during cyanobacterial blooms or elevated bacterial counts. Cold water in spring and winter increases the risk of cold shock and hypothermia, so swimming outside the warm season requires caution and appropriate precautions. Visitors should observe local signage and public health advisories before entering the water.
