*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Finjasjön, a lake in Skåne County, experiences a clear seasonal cycle in surface water temperature typical for southern Sweden. In winter the surface often drops to around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and the lake can freeze in colder years. During spring temperatures usually rise through roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F). In summer the surface commonly reaches 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) on warm days, sometimes a few degrees higher during heat spells, and in autumn temperatures decline to about 8–16 °C (46–61 °F) as cooling begins.
Swimming in Finjasjön is generally allowed and the lake is used for recreational bathing when conditions are favorable. Local authorities monitor water quality and post guidance, so swim access may be advised or restricted temporarily if cyanobacterial blooms, high bacterial levels or other hazards occur. There are public access points and shallow areas suitable for family swimming, but there are typically no lifeguards, water temperatures can vary with depth and season, and ice swimming should only be attempted when ice thickness has been officially declared safe. Observing signage and current water quality reports is recommended before entering the water.
