*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Lake Zurich is a stunning body of water extending southeast from the city of Zurich, offering exceptional water quality that often meets drinking standards. Swimming is officially permitted and highly popular across the entire lake, supported by an extensive network of Badis or lakeside lido baths that provide safe access and amenities. The water temperature follows a distinct seasonal pattern: in the heat of summer, it usually reaches a comfortable range between 20°C and 24°C (68°F to 75°F). During the autumn, the water cools gradually, eventually reaching its winter lows of 4°C to 6°C (39°F to 43°F) in January and February.
Swimming is encouraged because the lake is well-monitored for safety and cleanliness, making it one of the cleanest urban swimming spots in the world. While the summer attracts thousands of bathers, the spring remains crisp, with temperatures rising from 10°C to 15°C. Most public facilities open in May when the water is still brisk but manageable. The regulated nature of the swimming areas ensures that the delicate ecosystem of the lake is protected while providing locals with a vital space for physical activity and relaxation throughout the warmer months.
