Surface water in late spring often warms into the mid-60s to mid-70s °F (about 18–24 °C), while summer surface temperatures commonly reach the mid-70s to upper-80s °F (roughly 24–31 °C) and can spike into the low 90s °F (around 33 °C) during heatwaves. In autumn the lake usually cools back to the 60s–70s °F range (15–24 °C), and winter surface temperatures frequently fall into the 40s–50s °F (4–12 °C), with occasional brief dips lower during cold snaps.
