** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Marmara Gölü (Lake Marmara) in Manisa is a shallow inland lake whose surface temperature follows the typical seasonal rhythm of Aegean inland waters. In winter the water commonly cools to about 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), rising through spring to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). By mid to late summer surface temperatures often reach 20–28 °C (68–82 °F) depending on air temperature and wind, and autumn sees a decline back toward the low teens, around 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). Shallow areas warm more quickly and show larger day-to-day variability, while deeper pockets remain cooler.
Swimming in Lake Marmara is condition-dependent rather than strictly forbidden: recreational bathing is possible and most comfortable in the warm summer months when the water is in the upper 20s °C (70s–80s °F). However the lake is not a heavily managed seaside resort; beaches and lifeguard services are limited, and water quality can fluctuate with agricultural runoff, reed growth and occasional algal blooms. Local regulations or advisories may restrict swimming at times, so visitors should check current water quality information and exercise caution, avoiding areas with dense vegetation or visible pollution.
