Swimming in such conditions is perfect for those seeking relaxation and comfort in the water. These waters are often preferred for relaxation in hot weather, as the water temperature does not cool the body significantly. However, it is important to remember that in such warm waters, caution is necessary, as prolonged exposure without rest can lead to overheating. It is important to note that these swimming tips and recommendations apply only in good weather. *** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago della Trinità, located in Sicily, is a modest freshwater lake whose temperature regime reflects the island’s Mediterranean climate, local altitude and the lake’s depth and exposure. Typical seasonal surface temperatures range roughly from about 8–12 °C (46–54 °F) in winter, through 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) in spring, to warmest values around 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) in summer, then cooling back to roughly 12–20 °C (54–68 °F) in autumn. These figures are approximate: shallow, sun-exposed areas will warm faster in summer, while deeper or spring-fed sections remain cooler year-round. Short-term variations follow weather patterns, recent rainfall and water inflow.
Swimming at Lago della Trinità can be possible during the warmer months when surface temperatures are comfortable, but allowance and safety depend on local rules and conditions. Some parts of Sicilian lakes are open to recreational bathing, while others are restricted because the water is used for irrigation, is a drinking-water source, or is protected for ecological reasons; signage or municipal regulations may therefore prohibit swimming. In addition to legal restrictions, water quality, submerged hazards and sudden temperature changes can affect safety, so visitors should check current local guidance and observe posted notices before entering the water.
