Lac de Salanfe is a scenic reservoir located in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, near the village of Salvan. Nestled at an altitude of 1,925 meters (6,316 feet) in the Swiss Alps, this artificial lake was created by the Salanfe Dam and is used for hydroelectric power generation. The area around the lake is popular for hiking, with trails offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers.
