Lac de la Case, located in the Bernex region of the Haute-Savoie, is a picturesque mountain lake surrounded by alpine beauty. The lake lies at a relatively high altitude, which results in a colder water temperature. As is typical for many mountain lakes, the water temperature remains relatively cool throughout most of the year, especially during the spring and early summer when snowmelt influences the temperature. Although it may be refreshing during warmer months, swimming might be challenging for those not accustomed to colder waters. Due to its location, the lake is best suited for hiking excursions, such as those that start from the Fétiuère car park and lead to the lake, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Mont Blanc. It’s known for attracting marmots, making it a great spot for nature enthusiasts.
